According to the Official Gazette, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) reported total revenue of MOP$1.35 billion (US$167 million) in 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%, with pre-tax profit of MOP$229 million (US$28.4 million) down 40.2%.

In 2025, Macau International Airport handled 7.52 million passengers and 58,000 aircraft movements, reflecting annual declines of 1.6% and 2.9% respectively. However, cargo throughput reached 109,000 tons, an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous year.

During a recent Board of Directors meeting, CAM emphasized, “Our company has always adhered to the principle of prudent financial management, continuously enhancing cost control and operational efficiency to ensure sustainable development of our business.”

The airport is currently undergoing reclamation and apron construction works for its expansion. This project aims to expand apron capacity, increase the number of aircraft parking stands and construct rapid-exit taxiways. CAM noted that the company received a MOP$500 million (US$61.9 million) capital injection from shareholders in 2025.

Regarding project progress, CAM said it expects to begin night-time runway closure construction starting in the fourth quarter of this year. Construction of the Macau International Airport Hengqin pre-positioned cargo terminal is progressing in full swing and is expected to be completed and accepted as scheduled by the end of 2026, with official operations to commence in the first half of 2027.
