During Macau’s extended Easter and Ching Ming holiday period from 3 to 7 April, the city recorded 665,918 inbound visitor arrivals, averaging about 133,000 per day.
This year, the Easter and Ching Ming holidays fell within the same period, creating a five-day break when combined with the weekend. However, there is no Easter holiday in mainland China with only the Ching Ming holiday observed from 4 to 6 April, lasting three days.
The Public Security Police Force announced that over the five-day Easter and Ching Ming holiday, Macau’s border checkpoints recorded a total of 3,481,547 entries and exits.
Among these, inbound visitors accounted for 665,918 trips. Counting both inbound and outbound movements, visitor crossings totaled roughly 1.34 million.
On Saturday 4 April alone, Macau’s border checkpoints recorded about 704,000 entries and exits, including approximately 161,000 inbound visitor arrivals.
