MGM announced that, as of 1 March 2026, it will enhance its paid family leave arrangements for employees. Paid maternity leave will be extended from 70 days to 90 days, while paid paternity leave will increase from five days to seven days.
MGM said the adjustments demonstrate its active support for the Macao SAR Government’s childbirth initiatives, while further strengthening MGM’s internal culture of family and belonging.
Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, said, “MGM continues to cultivate a supportive, caring and family-friendly workplace for our team members, while actively responding to and supporting the SAR Government’s fertility-related policies through practical initiatives. The enhancement of paid maternity and paternity leave fully demonstrates the Company’s dedication and commitment to employee well-being and its further contribution to building a fertility-friendly environment in Macau.”
MGM added that a people-oriented culture remains central to the company’s values. It believes team members’ family happiness is a key foundation for individual well-being and workplace engagement, and also contributes positively to sustainable social development. To support team members through different stages of life, MGM said it has continued to enhance its policies, benefits and facilities, including the establishment of a “Mother Zone” in back-of-house areas that provides breastfeeding mothers with a private and comfortable space for milk expression.
Looking ahead, MGM said it will continue to introduce more family-friendly initiatives, working together with its team members and the community to promote a more harmonious workplace culture.
