Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) said it has long regarded its team members as an important asset and has continued to promote and enhance family-friendly measures to help employees better balance work and family life.

As such, the company announced that, starting from 1 March 2026, it will further improve employee benefits by extending paid maternity leave for female team members from the current 70 days to 90 days, and increasing paid paternity leave for male team members from five days to seven days.

GEG said that under the new arrangement, female team members who have completed at least one year of continuous service before childbirth will be entitled to 90 days of paid maternity leave. Male team members will also be entitled to seven days of paid paternity leave. The company said the measures aim to support employees during the important stage of welcoming a newborn, giving them more time to rest and be with their families.

GEG added that over the years it has built a family-friendly workplace through a range of initiatives, including setting up breastfeeding facilities in back-of-house areas to help mothers returning to work balance family responsibilities and their careers. Looking ahead, GEG said it will continue to review and enhance employee benefits in line with Macau’s social development needs, promoting a more harmonious workplace culture.
