Korea’s INSPIRE Entertainment Resort announced this morning the appointment of former Hoiana, Okada Manila and Galaxy Macau executive Steven Wolstenholme as its new Chief Casino Officer (CCO).
In a statement, the company said Wolstenholme will be tasked with overseeing the establishment of INSPIRE’s enterprise-wide casino strategies and the advancement of operational processes, while formulating and executing mid-to long-term growth plans for the INSPIRE Casino. Leveraging his extensive experience across diverse markets and his global network, he will also be expected to strengthen INSPIRE’s market positioning and credibility, contributing to its continued growth as a leading integrated casino resort.
“I am thrilled to join INSPIRE, which is setting a new standard for entertainment resorts in Asia through its successful opening and rapid operational stabilization,” said Wolstenholme.
“Building on the operational expertise I have accumulated over the past 30-plus years at global integrated resorts, I will do my utmost to work alongside INSPIRE’s talented team to create Asia’s leading integrated casino resort.”
Gyubum Ko, CEO of INSPIRE, added, “Steven Wolstenholme is a highly accomplished expert with deep insight into integrated resort operations, including casino operations, finance, governance and ESG. With the appointment of our new CCO, INSPIRE will further accelerate its growth as a world-class integrated resort delivering the ultimate ‘Playcation’ experience where entertainment and relaxation come together for our guests.”
Wolstenholme most recently served as President and CEO of Hoiana Resort & Golf in Vietnam, departing in early 2025 after seven years in the role following a change of ownership.
He was previously President of Okada Manila in the Philippines and also served as Chief Operating Officer of Galaxy Macau, having begun his career working across a variety of US-based properties including Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and Grand Sierra Resort in Nevada.
INSPIRE described Wolstenholme as being widely recognized for his strategic insight into the casino industry, his ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and his expertise in establishing robust governance frameworks.
The veteran executive had announced via social media on Monday that he was placing his consultancy firm, Wolsten & Associates, into hibernation.
