Matsui will be showcasing its latest gaming chip product line as well as RFID Chips and cutting-edge security features at G2E Asia 2024.

Matsui chips are regarded worldwide as among the most durable and secure casino gaming chips. Specializing in the manufacture and supply of gaming chips and table equipment, Matsui is renowned for its high-quality products along with reasonable pricing and speedy service. The company has been increasing its market and customer base since the establishment of its chip factory in 2000. Matsui chips have been supplied to more than 1,000 casinos in over 100 countries.

“Recently everyone in the industry is talking about Smart Gaming Table technologies, and as we are all aware, one of the key elements is the gaming chips,” said Shigeki Machida, Managing Director of Matsui’s Macau subsidiary.

“The technology in this field requires RFID gaming chips. Matsui has been supplying it for many years. We are licensed to produce and supply PJM RFID gaming chips, the main RFID specification in the casino field. We can also supply RFID chips of the other modes if required.”

According to Machida, since there are only a few gaming chip manufacturers who have long history and are considered reliable and trusted enough, Matsui receives many orders and inquiries, however the demand for RFID chips has been increasing significantly since the pandemic.

“It is probably because the market is recovering well, and many operators re-started investing in their pended projects,” he explained. “The technology has been there for many years, but the quality and the software have been improved rapidly in the past decade to the level that it is able to be utilized in all aspects required by the operators – not only for chip authentication but also for Smart Table operations.

“In the last 18 months, we have supplied three very big chip orders with RFID consecutively – one for an operator in Canada, the other for a new IR in South Korea and the latest one is for a project in the Philippines. Those three orders represent what the customers trust in Matsui chips and the highest-level security and service we offer. We have been working on more RFID chips orders now and I believe that this momentum will keep growing.

“RFID is obviously a very strong tool for chip security as well as for data collecting and accurate dealing. It is one of the ‘must’ items for Smart Table operation. However, you should not forget that additional security features of gaming chips are also very important for the backup of RFID.”

Adding to traditional security features such as visible and invisible UV, Laser Trace and holograms, Matsui has its exclusive MG EYE security printing and other cutting-edge technology like Electronic Magnetic, which is used for employee gate checking to prevent staff theft.

Matsui’s new casino chip series including Acrylic Plaques with side print, new design Decal Chips and Anti-microbial synthetic layout will be showcased at G2E Asia 2024 as well as demonstrations of the RFID chips and EM Gate.
