Grant Chum has been named as Sands China’s new CEO and President amid a raft of senior executive changes announced by the company late Wednesday.
The 48-year-old, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer, takes on the leadership role effective immediately and in conjunction with his position as Executive Vice President — Asia Operations at parent company Las Vegas Sands (LVS).

Chum’s promotion comes with Sands China announcing that LVS Chairman and CEO Robert Goldstein would relinquish his role as Sands China CEO, although he will remain as Chairman of the Board, and that Dr Wilfred Wong would relinquish his role as President, appointed instead as Executive Vice Chairman.
Other executive changes include Dave Sun MinQi becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Dylan Williams becoming Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Company Secretary.
Chum recently celebrated 10 years at Sands, having been poached from UBS Investment Bank in 2013 following an impressive career spent overseeing Asian gaming research. Having attracted strong interest from industry, he was originally appointed Senior Vice President for Global Gaming Strategy for LVS, then Sands China’s Chief of Staff in 2015 before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in February 2020. He was appointed as an Executive Director in 2021.
Sands China was granted a new 10-year gaming concession in December 2022 under the combined leadership of Chum and Dr Wong.
