Inside Asian Gaming has released the official program for the inaugural IAG Academy Summit, to be held at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 September.

The two-day program will feature a combination of traditional panel sessions and presentations as well as more innovative formats never before witnessed at industry trade shows in Asia. These include IAG’s “At the Bar” sessions, where the IAG team will chat with industry personalities in a relaxed “barside” setting.

Day 1 of the IAG Academy Summit will kick off with a Keynote Address from PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco, who will then join a Regulator’s panel moderated by former head of Victoria’s regulatory body, Peter Cohen, and also featuring Khim Oudam of the Cambodian Commercial Gambling Management Commission and Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) Administrator and CEO Katrina Ponce Enrile.

Other Day 1 highlights include a first detailed look at the Philippines’ new EGM technical regulations from the team tasked with developing them, an analysis of how changes to Macau’s gaming law have impacted the industry eight months on, and an update on the state of play in the development of Japan’s IR industry from Professor Toru Mihara, assigned by the Japanese Prime Minister to the Council for the Promotion of Integrated Resorts, a state organ created under Japan’s Law for the Promotion of Specified Integrated Resorts.

Day 2 of the IAG Academy Summit will feature a Keynote Address from the President of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Agnes Devanadera, followed by a panel discussion on the Clark Freeport Zone featuring representatives from the CDC and major Clark integrated resort operators.

A suppliers’ panel will see representatives of major industry suppliers Aristocrat, IGT and Light & Wonder offer their insights into Asian markets, and IAG’s Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott will sit down with Lorraine Koo, Corporate COO of Dowinn Group to delve into the fascinating world of Philippines junkets.

To see the full IAG Academy Summit program visit iagacad.com/summit-program and to see the full list of speakers visit iagacad.com/summit-speakers.

Inside Asian Gaming Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott said, “The IAG Academy Summit will set itself apart from other industry events by ensuring every single session is both interesting and informative, with no ‘fillers’, no paid presentations and no pitches allowed.

“[IAG Managing Editor] Ben [Blaschke] and I have personally crafted this program with the goal of creating the kind of content that the industry wants to see, that delivers true value and that delegates will walk away from thinking to themselves, ‘I really learnt something that I didn’t know before’.”

Inside Asian Gaming is now calling for delegates to join us at the IAG Academy Summit.

Given that this is the inaugural event, the summit was created with relatively short notice, and that the entire industry is just coming out of a very difficult period through COVID, IAG has priced delegate attendance at the Summit at a special low introductory price, is now even offering a general discount on that introductory price, as follows:

Day 1 pass Day 2 pass Both days pass
Special introductory price US$250 US$250 US$450
With general discount US$200 US$200 US$300

Delegates are encouraged to purchase a both-days pass for just US$300. To further simplify the process, IAG does not require payment in advance. Delegates can either pay on arrival or be invoiced for later payment.

To register, visit iagacad.com/summit-delegate-registration.

IAG has also secured a special hotel room rate at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts, for those attending the inaugural IAG Academy Summit and/or either or both of its associated events, namely networking social Manila After Dark on the evening of Tuesday 12 September and the IAG Academy IR Awards on the evening of Wednesday 13 September.

Attendees can take advantage of a special room rate of Php 8,500++ per night courtesy of Hilton Manila and Newport World Resorts. Simply click on this link to book: hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/iagacademyirawards2023.

Ideally located at the Grand Wing of Newport World Resorts, the Hilton Manila is just minutes from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and is connected to shopping and entertainment at the Garden Wing of the Newport World Resorts complex via a short skybridge.

Newport World Resorts is connected to terminal 3 of NAIA via “Runway Manila”, an airconditioned covered walkway allowing pedestrian access between the airport and the resort. Guests arriving at NAIA terminal 3 can therefore walk to the Hilton Manila in mere minutes.

Hilton is also close to central attractions like Rizal Park, Manila Ocean Park and SMX Convention Center Manila, all of which are within a 15 minute drive.
