Sands China Ltd and Bank of China Macau Branch have officially launched their BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay credit card.
The credit card, aimed at Macau residents, will offer cardholders an array of benefits at Sands China’s integrated resorts, including on hotel accommodation, dining, shopping, leisure and entertainment.
“We are honored to join hands with two prestigious financial institutions, BOC Macau and UnionPay, to launch the BOC Sands Lifestyle UnionPay credit card,” said Sands China President, Dr Wilfred Wong.
“Through this advantageous new card, we are pleased to provide the public with exclusive and more convenient high-end leisure and entertainment, as well as payment privileges, in support of the Macao SAR government’s ‘Consume for the Economy’ initiative – allowing local residents to take better advantage of the diversity of experiences available under one roof at our interconnected resorts.”

Wednesday’s launch event was also attended by Ip Sio Kai, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch; Chan Hio Peng, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch; Dave Sun, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sands China Ltd; Virginia Lam, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Sands China Ltd; and Cai Chun Yan, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch. Michelle Shao, General Manager of UnionPay International Hong Kong Branch and Cui Ying, Representative of Card Centre of Bank of China attended via video conferencing.
Sands China said the new credit card will be offered in two tiers, Diamond UnionPay and Black Diamond UnionPay, with the design of the card incorporating iconic elements of Sands resorts.
“This collaboration between Bank of China, Sands China Ltd and UnionPay International Ltd will promote diversified consumption and support the recovery and growth of the local economy during the pandemic,” said Chan Hio Peng, Deputy General Manager, Bank of China Macau Branch.
“It also facilitates Macau residents in the Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone in Hengqin and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
