Melco Resorts & Entertainment has revealed details of its new resident stunt show at Macau integrated resort Studio City, described by the company as a “non-stop death-defying production” that will “keep the audience on the edge of their seats with daredevil thrills and high precision vehicles in close action driving sequences.”
A collaboration with world-renowned entertainment architects Stufish – whose portfolio includes the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and set designs for the likes of Elton John, Madonna, Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga – the show will also be “the first indoor all-electric action-packed theatrical stunt show in the world.”
Melco announced on Wednesday that it will release full details of the new show at an upcoming media event this month but revealed it will run for 75 minutes and feature over 70 bespoke sports cars, buggies, quad bikes, FMX Trials and motorbikes.
The company is also in the midst of a comprehensive US$1 billion makeover of its flagship Macau IR, City of Dreams, including the recent launch of luxury hotel tower Morpheus.
