Regulators among speaker line-up for Sports Betting East Africa Summit

Organizer Eventus International has unveiled a line-up of more than 30 speakers from the gaming and tech industries that will feature at April’s fourth annual Sports Betting East Africa Summit.

The speakers also include a number of local regulators, among them Anthony Kimani Kung’u, Chairman of the Betting Control and Licensing Board, Kenya; Chhayan Ringadoo, CEO of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, Mauritius; Edgar Agaba, CEO of the Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board, Uganda; and Felix Mukaxe, Gambling Inspector for the Mozambique Gambling Board.

Other speakers include Geofrey Kayemba, FIFA Intermediary of the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA), Linda Sekaziga, Chairwoman of the Uganda Bookmakers and Gaming Association and Manzi Tumubweinee, Chairman of the Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board, Uganda.

“The panel of speakers at this year’s summit are truly the best in their respective fields and are looking forward to sharing their perspective on industry topics, and practical skills for succeeding in east African countries such as; Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique and Mauritius,” Eventus International said.

Among the topics to be covered will be:

– Business start-up competition
– Keeping up to date with the changes to Ugandan gambling legislation
– How many operators can a single market bare?
– Reaping the rewards of Africa’s growing economy
– Sports betting: online vs mobile
– Guidelines for innovating new products in the online space
– Master class session: Taking your business to the next level
– Prepare for the football frenzy – the 2018 FIFA World Cup is around the corner
– Mobile payments -Africa’s move to a cashless society
– The future of regulation in East Africa
