In addition to releasing a string of localized slot content for Asian markets, IGT has also developed systems solutions with specific relevance to the region’s table-dominated casinos

International Game Technology has its roots in single-player electronic games, having been founded on video poker and grown into a worldwide slot machine giant. But table systems and management tools have become an important part of the mix, and IGT is inviting attendees to “Experience the Difference” at G2E Asia.

IGT says it has been investing heavily in Asia with new people, a new approach and games and systems that are tailored specifically for operator and player demands. And the company claims the changes have been received very positively across the market.

Cutting-edge casino management tools IGT Advantage, Casinolink and sbX aim to turn possibilities into performance. Given the strength of the Asian table games market, IGT is investing in the localization of its systems solutions with richer table functionality.

Key developments include a Rebates and Commissions module designed to effectively incentivize, manage and develop the junket promoters who are critical extensions of casino marketing programs. Also key is Table Manager, the first fully automated system that maximizes comping accuracy, increases productivity and delivers compelling promotions to table players. When combined with RFID chip tracking and image-based card recognition, information including average bet, theoretical win and actual win are automatically entered into the system. It enables quick, accurate comp decisions on players, is wireless capable and compatible with all types of games. Lucky Chip will be launching soon to create surprise jackpot promotions specifically for table games players.

Lucky Chip enables operators to create and set criteria for bonus events to reward table players, and can display winner announcements on video monitors throughout the casino to attract attention to the tables.

Casinolink, meanwhile, supports the full gaming operation by linking the management of slot machines, table games, account-based wagering, marketing and the cage into one comprehensive system.

Management solutions for the slot floor are a major part of the sbX system, with “sb” standing for “server-based.” The sbX Floor Manager application allows slot managers to optimize game mix and placement with visualization tools. Game theme, denomination and pay table data come into play, with pre-defined reports available via a web browser. And the Service Window enables two-way communication with players at the machines, delivering targeted messages on game screens. Through the IGT Advantage system, the Service Window can be opened at networked games from other manufacturers, as well as IGT games.

Along with the systems emphasis, there are always lots of slots at the IGT stand, and this year the showcase includes an extensive lineup of titles showing the company’s growth in the region. From game changers such as the Great ZodiacRace to new games designed specifically for Asian playing styles such as Money Idol, Fire Pearl and Silk Seduction, there are slots to suit any market in the region.

IGT will also showcase some of its famous MegaJackpots themes such as CSI video slots, which deliver crime-stopping action featuring characters and clips from “CSI,” “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY.” The CSI slots are interactive, keeping players intrigued as they get to be the crime scene investigator in a bonus event. If they collect enough evidence, they add a free-spins bonus that leads to even more engagement.

Among IGT Core slots making a debut at G2E Asia will be the sweetly themed Takes the Cakes, a spin-off of the hugely popular Candy Bars game. And IGT Video Reel Edge slot titles such as Tully’s Treasure Hunt offer traditional slot play with skillbased bonuses that boost interactivity to the max. Tully is a sea turtle, and in the bonus event players use a joystick to guide him near the ocean floor, avoiding obstacles while collecting gems and coins to build the bonus award. IGT also has its eye on the future with IGT Interactive. While Interactive opportunities are currently limited in Asia,

IGT Interactive will show how it can bring seamless gaming experiences to players across all devices, from online to mobile, featuring best of breed content and strongly-recognized brands.
