PRESS RELEASE

Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, mobile applications, and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, has announced it won four awards  in Casino Enterprise Management’s second annual Hospitality Operations Technology (HOT) Awards.

The HOT Awards honor leading gaming-technology products that make a positive difference in a casino-hotel’s operations. Bally won four of the six categories, and was the only gaming manufacturer to win an award.

A panel of expert judges, including several gaming and hospitality executives, evaluated the award submissions. Bally’s winning products are:

  • Service Tracking Manager™ (STM) for Employee Productivity and Efficiency.
  • Bally TableView™ Chip Recognition™ for Revenue Generation.
  • iVIEW Display Manager™ with Elite Bonusing Suite™ for Guest Experience Enhancement.
  • Bally CoolSign® for Media and Content Management.

“We are proud to have four more wins to add to our collection,” said Bally Technologies’ Chief Executive Officer Richard Haddrill. “Over the past three years, Bally has won more than 35 awards for innovation − a true testament to the work being done here. Our forward-thinking team is continuously innovating solutions for trailblazing technologies that ensure our customers can provide their guests with exceptional service, an exciting gaming experience, and most of all, a good return-on-investment.”

STM is a browser-based dispatch system that interfaces with handheld smart devices such as the iPhone® and iPad® for faster routing of casino-floor personnel to customers. When a service request is generated through the system such as a machine malfunction or patron pressing the service button, casino personnel closest to the patron are immediately notified, increasing the efficiency of casino operations and customer satisfaction.

Bally’s new TableView Chip Recognition is a cutting-edge table-games technology that employs high-tech cameras to identify and track a casino’s existing chips being wagered at the gaming tables. This provides casino operators with the ability to perform instant table audits and advanced patron tracking and is seamlessly integrated into existing installations of TableView, a real-time table-rating and player-tracking solution for entering real-time player ratings, requesting chips fills and credits, inputing table closers, issuing comps and markers, and changing the table shift.

iVIEW DM is  an on-device marketing tool that delivers content to players on the main game screen or the top game display with picture-in-picture capability. This backward-compatible player-user-interface works on all gaming devices that have a touch-enabled video monitor, including non-Bally games from any manufacturer. When combined with Elite Bonsuing Suite, which features nine different apps including floor-wide bonusing events, this powerful synergistic combination is designed to keep players in their seats and instantly reward them at the point-of-play.

CoolSign media-management software delivers the gaming industry’s most comprehensive digital-signage solutions to help stimulate increased guest spending by providing an enhanced guest experience. Bally CoolSign is fully integrated into all of Bally Systems products, allowing the operator to display information such as jackpot winners, unique system-driven messages, and floor-wide bonusing events that are generated through Elite Bonusing Suite.

Over the past three years, Bally Technologies has won more than 35 awards for product innovation, as well as international awards for customer service and support and for being the most innovative gaming-technology manufacturer.
