Asian Gaming Intelligence’s parent publication, Inside Asian Gaming magazine, has announced the results of the Inside Asian Gaming – Supplier Awards 2009.
The prizes are for casino slot machine and gaming system manufacturers trading in Macau and the regional Asian market in 2008-09.
The Inside Asian Gaming Supplier Awards are decided by reader nomination and by a panel of industry professionals. This is the inaugural year for the awards.
The key criteria for nomination are product popularity across multiple markets and an ability to provide casino and gaming club operators with a good return on investment as well as a great experience for players.
Aristocrat Technologies from Australia, the maker of the highly popular linked progressive slot game ‘Cash Express’, was named Supplier of the Year.
Aristocrat is the first overseas manufacturer to set up a product assembly centre in Macau, the biggest casino market in the world by gross revenues.
Aristocrat also won prizes in the Inside Asian Gaming – Supplier Awards 2009 for Best Standalone Game and Best Linked Progressive Product.
“When we asked readers and our industry panel to name the outstanding slot machine and systems supplier in Asia, the name that came up again and again was Aristocrat,” says Kareem Jalal, Editor and Publisher of Inside Asian Gaming.
“We would like to congratulate Aristocrat and all our other winners and nominees in this, our first industry awards event. Those that missed out on the nominations this time should take some comfort from the fact that their presence in a highly competitive market is helping to raise standards all round.”
The other winners were:
Best Multi-Player Terminal: Alfastreet – R8
Best Asian Themed Slot Game: Atronic – Dragonboat
Best New Slot Game: WMS Gaming – MONOPOLY Big Event
